This piece is drawn from a photograph that I took in the fall of 2016 when the lake level was still very low due to the drought. The view is from the shore at Vikingsholm, where the creek pours into Lake Tahoe. There was a little bit of snow on the ground, but I didn't feel like the snow would have read as snow in pencil, being monochromatic.
I'm especially pleased with the foreground, the rocks and sand texture are nice and crisp. It may be difficult to see from here but in person the tea house shows up nicely also.
