A note regarding the price difference between this piece and the other 9" x 12" works; this is framed in a custom made teak frame that is finished with spar varnish and has an oak fillet, so the price reflects the value of that particular frame.
We went camping in the southern sierra at Kennedy Meadows. The aspens were just beginning to turn, some gold and some tinged in copper orange. I got all excited and went searching for a nice group of aspens with the colors that I wanted. This little stand of trees had the sun glowing through the leaves and I loved the shadows coming forward. They also happened to be in Powell Meadow, okay this was meant to be.
